First embryonic cousin in the works!

Tyler and Dobry were 17 when Tristan was born. Schyler was 3 when we met her. And so for the first time, my kids have an embryonic cousin! We are all so excited.

Dorian wants his cousin to be named Ivy or Princess Peach Knauer. Randee asked, "What if it's a boy?" He said, "Ivan or Prince Peach Knauer". He's really into Mario games and Princess Peach is his favorite character. Tristan said to Dorian, "If you name him something dumb he'll be mad at you!"

Here's a picture of Dorian and Lovbee, a character from the Super Paper Mario game.

Let's Rock!

Lyrics:
C'mon kids let's be in a band
All you need is a mouth and a hand
One for singing, one for playing guitar
Come play with me and be a star

Rock song!
I'm makin' this up
Rock song!
We're havin' some fun
Rock song!
Come play with me
Everyone who's rockin' is gonna get a cookie!

Family hike

Tristan and Eric both had a day off at the same time and we went hiking! First hike of the season, and we were quiet enough to see a woodpecker going to town on a dead tree. (Well, he may have been deaf because we weren't really quiet until after we spotted him).

Dinner at a mexican restaurant the same weekend was fun too.

And laughing boys at bedtime is always a treat for mom!

Road Trip

This weekend, we drove a long way to some mountains somewhere in the US to look for snow. (My readers know I never like to refer to our exact location). On our journey, we came upon a petrified forest that we did not know existed. Apparently, there are 5 of them in the United States. Wikipedia lists them this way:

Petrified Forest may refer to:
It was a nice trip. We had a big snowball engagement. Daddy and Mama made all the snow balls. Tristan and Dorian threw them at each other and at us. We got them a few times. :) By the end of the trip Tristan could say "petrified" and understood what it meant.

He did have a hat and scarf and gloves on most of the time.
Such a happy outdoorsman.
